What is PVC? PVC, also known as POLYVINYL CHLORIDE has multiple layers underneath its coating, making it tougher and more durable. PVC leather, or sometimes called Vinyl, is made out of fabric leather backing, topped with a foam layer, skin layer and then a plastic based surface coating.
What is PU? PU, also know as POLYURETHANE has less layers making it more pliable and flexible to work with it. PU leather consists of a split leather backing, topped with Polyurethane coating that gives the fabric a finish similar to natural leather, with similar flexibility too.
Smooth Synthetic Leather is made up of 50% PU (Polyurethane) and 50% PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
All Synthetic Leather will be shipped via our flat rate shipping method. Due to the size of the rolls and size of satchels, the shipping method used will either be Couriers Please or Mailplus. Please note the cheaper option will be used in ALL circumstances.

Pre-washing is not essential but recommended
- Pre wash in cold water on a gentle cycle
- Add a tablespooon of salt to the wash – this helps seal the colour within the fabric thus reducing fading.
- Add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. the liquid will freshen up your laundry and help colours maintain their intensity.
- Dryer use is not recommended – as the heat will eventually cause fabrics to fade.
- Line dry without delay – inside out, away from direct sunlight
Shrinkrage rate is approximately 3-5%. All fabric has been preshrunk, however additional shrinkage may occur.
